Designing for Families in Motion

Our design consultancy was commissioned to reimagine a preliminary engineering prototype of a stroller frame into an innovative, aesthetically refined product ready for the EU market. Tasked with enhancing both visual appeal and user experience, we began with an in-depth concept development phase—exploring a wide range of design directions through rapid sketching and ideation. From there, we refined key concepts into detailed proposals, focusing on form, proportion, and usability. A major design objective was to conceal the technical metal frame entirely within sculpted plastic cladding, creating a smooth, contemporary silhouette that feels cohesive and consumer-friendly.

In parallel, we developed a comprehensive CMF strategy to define the product’s visual and tactile identity—selecting finishes, textures, and tones that would elevate its perceived quality while meeting durability and manufacturing requirements. Using KeyShot and Photoshop, we produced high-quality renderings throughout the process to communicate design intent, materiality, and color with precision—helping stakeholders visualize the final product before tooling began.

The finished stroller is ultra-compact, lightweight, and thoughtfully designed for modern families. Suitable from birth to approximately 4 years (max 22kg), it features a 5-point padded harness, multi-position backrest, and puncture-proof tyres with smooth 4-wheel suspension. The easy, one-hand fold mechanism makes it highly portable, while premium details—like a leatherette bumper bar, pop-out sun visor, and extendable UPF 50+ hood with peek-a-boo window—add comfort and sophistication to its everyday functionality.
