Our experiences, skills and knowledge are firmly rooted in child car seat design for the child car seat industry.
Child restraint systems (CRS) within products such as high chairs, push chairs in addition to car seats is highly technical, with health and safety issues being complex. Not only do we design child car seats for all age groups but we advise on the whole process, from concept, prototyping and simulation, through to legalities, regulations and certification when the product is manufactured.
We also offer a vehicle fitting services database which gives retailers and car manufacturer’s unique information as to which car seats fit safely into each make and model of car. We support retailers in this area by looking at their own brand car seats, assessing technical and quality requirements and reviewing their instructions and labels as well as improved safety and consumer ratings. Car seat technology is a minefield of regulatory and functional variables, and JMDA has 25 years’ experience in design, manufacture and compliance in this area. Understanding the CRS manufacturing landscape and being equipped with the right questions will enable an informed product selection process.
