Anniversary of The Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2019 celebrations

Reflecting on winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2019 for International Trade, JMDA look back at their celebrations this time last year and the impact that followed receiving such a prestigious award.

On Wednesday 17th July 2019, at their Head Office in Pershore, Worcestershire, JMDA Design were presented with the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2019 for International Trade by The Hon Lady Morrison, Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Worcestershire, surrounded by Worcestershire dignitaries.

In a world which is hardly recognisable 12 months on, JMDA Design will feel the positive impact of winning the Queen’s Award for many years to come. Reflecting their high standards and achievements that have helped to increase safety and reduce serious injury in road traffic accidents, the Queen’s Award sets JMDA Design apart as a global leader in the design and development of child restraint systems (CRS).

Cherril Barker, Co-Founder & Director at JMDA says “Winning the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2019 for International Trade was a wonderful achievement and we were honoured to be recognised for our contribution to child car seat safety globally”. She adds, “When The Hon Lady Morrison presented us with the iconic Queen’s Award glass vase and scroll signed by Her Majesty the Queen, it was a moment that we will always cherish. It was made even more special as our team, friends and family could all share the celebrations with us on what was a magical day. I would highly recommend any business to apply for a Queen’s Award to help take their business to the next level.”

With the COVID-19 pandemic challenging businesses worldwide, a Queen’s Award can help gain a competitive edge in the most testing times. Applications are now open for the 2021 awards with the deadline for entry being midday on 9th September 2020.
