The Christmas Tree Festival at Worcester Cathedral will be even bigger and better this year, with expectations for the JMDA Design tree running high.

JMDA Design are entering their first tree into Worcester Cathedral Christmas Tree Festival which will this year, raise funds for the Daisychain Benevolent Fund. The annual Christmas Tree Festival will take pride of place in Worcester Cathedral from 3rd December, 2016 to 6th January 2017 with local businesses taking part across the county. Entry to see the Christmas Tree Festival is free and is always a talking point within the Cathedral.

The design of the JMDA Design Christmas Tree is a closely guarded secret. Awards will be given by the Mayor of Worcester for his favourite and the public will also vote for ‘The People’s Choice Tree’. Helena Lewis, Design Engineer at JMDA Design is leading the project and says “The design of our Christmas Tree is well underway. As we specialise in designing products surrounding child safety, our unique take on the Christmas Tree design will help deliver an important message.” She adds “Christmas is all about children and helping to raise awareness of safety, particularly car seats will play an important part. We’re all so pleased to get behind this charity event and celebrate the Christmas cheer in the magnificent Worcester Cathedral”.

The end of 2016 marks an important year for Pershore based JMDA Design as they celebrate their 25th year in business with special events and fund raising activities. They have achieved one of the highest status’ in the design industry with a Red Dot Award for design innovation for a unique state-of-the-art children’s car seat. Their growth plans continue for 2017 with many design projects in progress needing additional staff to expand their office in Pershore, Worcestershire as well as their office in Shanghai, China.
