JMDA To Build On Success Of 2016

A new staff development programme at JMDA Design aims to strengthen the teams’ skillset as they move into the New Year and build on their success of 2016.

JMDA Design Consultancy are industry leaders in the design of child restraint products. The team’s knowledge, expertise and their  flair for specialist design is hard to match within the industry, with training and development at the heart of the business. CAD Engineer Chris Lester recently attended an informative training session at Engel Injection Moulding Services in Leamington Spa. Covering a range of injection moulding techniques and design practices, this course will benefit him going forward in his design of child car restraint products.

Design Engineers Emma Harris and Chris Carter based in the JMDA Design UK office, attended management courses run by  Hereford and Worcester Chamber of Commerce. Through discussion and role play activities, techniques for planning a successful project and appropriately managing teams were introduced.

Managing Director Derrick Barker explains ‘It is very important that staff at JMDA are encouraged to attend training courses, workshops and seminars wherever possible for their own professional development.’ He adds ‘It is essential we invest time and money in our staff and equip them with the skills and expertise to help us build on the accomplishments of 2016.’

The JMDA team have had a very busy and successful year. As well as celebrating their 25th Anniversary in business, they became corporate sponsors of  Wooden Spoon children’s charity. The icing on top of the cake was winning a prestigious Red Dot Award this year for Design Concept. The team, who have offices in  Pershore, Worcestershire and Shanghai, China provide design and engineering expertise to deliver market ready solutions across numerous industries. They are looking forward to an exciting start to 2017 as they continue to grow and expand.
